Export Best Practices

Export early, customize later: Generate PowerPoint exports early in your presentation prep. This gives you time to customize slides and integrate with other content.
Use slide sections: Organize exported slides into sections (Overview, Campaigns, Creative, Next Steps) for easier navigation during presentations.
Add speaker notes: Include notes on slides with talking points and explanations. This helps you present confidently.
Save multiple versions: Save versions at key stages (initial export, customized, presented, final approved) for documentation and reference.
Test before presenting: Open the presentation on the device you’ll use for presenting. Verify all images load and formatting looks correct.

Troubleshooting

Cause: Large campaigns with many creative assets take longer to generate.Resolution:
  • Wait for generation to complete
  • For very large campaigns, export in smaller batches
  • Consider exporting fewer levels if you don’t need all details
Cause: PowerPoint may compress images by default to reduce file size.Resolution:
  • In PowerPoint, go to File > Options > Advanced
  • Under Image Size and Quality, select “Do not compress images”
  • For high-quality prints, consider using PDF export instead
Cause: Many high-resolution creative assets result in large file sizes.Resolution:
  • Use file sharing services (Dropbox, Google Drive) instead of email
  • Compress images in PowerPoint (File > Compress Pictures)
  • Export campaigns separately to create smaller presentations
Cause: File may be corrupted or PowerPoint version incompatibility.Resolution:
  • Try opening in Google Slides or Keynote
  • Re-download the file (download may have been interrupted)
  • Export again from Whathead
  • Update PowerPoint to the latest version
