Import a media plan from a spreadsheet (Excel or CSV). Map columns to campaigns, ad sets, and ads; preview the structure; attach creatives; then apply everything to the Campaign Builder canvas in one go.
The Media plan flow turns a spreadsheet into canvas nodes and connections. You go through a short wizard: upload, map columns, preview, add assets, map assets to rows, then confirm. After that, the canvas is populated with campaigns, ad sets, and ads according to your plan.

Where to find it

  • In the Campaign Builder, open Media plan (or Import from media plan) from the sidebar or action bar. The Media Plan Upload modal opens.

The 6 steps

1. UploadUpload an Excel or CSV file. The system detects headers and shows a preview.
2. MappingMap spreadsheet columns to Whathead fields (campaign name, platform, dates, budget, targeting, ad copy, headline, CTA, etc.). You can use suggested mapping or adjust manually.
3. PreviewSee how the file will be grouped into campaigns, ad sets, and ads. You can change grouping (e.g. one campaign per row vs one campaign per file) and budget/date level.
4. AssetsOptionally attach creatives (images/videos) from your asset library or upload new ones.
5. Asset mappingLink assets to rows or placements so the right creative is used for each ad.
6. ConfirmReview and confirm. The wizard creates nodes and edges and applies them to the canvas. You can then edit and publish as usual.

After import

  • The canvas shows the new campaigns, ad sets, and ads. They are not published yet.
  • You can edit any node (double-click), add or remove nodes, reconnect, or use Sync targeting or Sync ads as in the normal Campaign Builder workflow.
  • When ready, use Publish to push to the platform.
