Snapchat-Specific Publishing Behavior

Ad Updates

Snapchat supports updating existing ads, including creative changes. When you modify an ad’s creative, copy, or other properties, Whathead updates the existing ad via Snapchat’s API. The same ad ID is preserved, and changes are reflected immediately in Snapchat Ads Manager. What can be updated:
  • Ad creative (images, videos)
  • Ad copy (text, headline, call-to-action)
  • Tracking URLs
  • Ad status

Rate Limiting

When publishing multiple Snapchat campaigns, Whathead applies a short delay between campaigns to respect Snapchat’s API rate limits. This ensures reliable publishing without hitting rate limit errors.

Vertical Video Requirement

Snapchat requires vertical video (9:16 aspect ratio) for video ads. Horizontal videos will fail validation. Ensure your video creative meets this requirement before publishing.
