Export for Review

This workflow guide explains how to export your campaign structures as PDF or PowerPoint presentations for stakeholder review, client approval, or documentation purposes.
When to use this workflow:
  • Presenting campaigns to clients for approval
  • Sharing campaign plans with stakeholders
  • Documenting campaign structures for records
  • Creating campaign briefs for team review
For detailed feature documentation, see PDF Export and PPTX Export.

Available Export Formats

Whathead supports two export formats:
  • PDF Export: Static document format, ideal for email distribution and archiving
  • PowerPoint (PPTX) Export: Editable presentation format, ideal for meetings and presentations
Both formats include campaign structure, settings, targeting details, and creative previews.

PDF Export Workflow

1

Prepare campaigns

Ensure campaigns on your canvas are complete and validated. The export includes all visible campaigns.
2

Open export menu

Click Export in the toolbar and select Export as PDF.
3

Configure export options

Choose what to include:
  • Campaign overview: High-level campaign details
  • Targeting details: Full targeting configuration
  • Creative previews: Images/videos used in ads
  • Budget and schedule: Budget allocation and timing
Include only what your audience needs. Too much detail can overwhelm stakeholders.

Download and share

Download the PDF and share it with stakeholders via email or file sharing.

  • Detailed: Comprehensive information per slide
  • Executive: High-level overview for executives
4

Configure export options

Choose what to include in the presentation.

Best Practices

Tip 2: Use PDF for email distribution (smaller file size, universally readable). Use PowerPoint for presentations (editable, better for meetings).
Tip 3: Include creative previews for visual campaigns. Stakeholders want to see what ads will look like.
Tip 4: Customize PowerPoint exports with your branding before presenting to clients.

Troubleshooting

Cause: Too many campaigns or large creative files.Solution: Export campaigns in smaller batches or reduce creative preview quality in export options.
Cause: Creative assets may not be uploaded yet.Solution: Ensure all ads have creative assets uploaded before exporting.
Cause: Template may not match your content structure.Solution: Try a different template or edit the PowerPoint file after export to adjust formatting.
